Hey Barbara! When you mentioned the contest about the second book this is the first name that popped into my head for a gothic boy name......Mordred. I know, it's from King Arthur BUT interestingly enough here is a website that has some cool interpetations of Mordred. Scroll down on the page to where you see "Mordred As Shadow".

I also favor these Irish names as well because of what they mean:) LOL
Donovan- "little dark/black one"
Doyle- "Dark stranger"
Here is a couple of other cool names I like as well.
Azrael - Angel of death.

Samael - Prince of darkness.
